How to make a baby size quilt for the Lochlyn Quilt pattern

The Lochlyn quilt is a modern simple plaid quilt pattern!  The pattern is currently written for throw size, but below, I will show you how to make a 42.5" x 42.5" baby/crib quilt!  Get pattern here!

For this quilt, I used Kona Snow and Kona Black fabrics.

Now, to make a baby size quilt, you will need to make 8 blocks. 

Baby/Crib Fabric Requirements: 

Fabric A (white) - 1 1/2 yards

Fabric B (black) - 5/6 yards

Backing - 3 yards

Binding - 3/8 yards

Cutting Instructions:

A1 - Cut (2) WOF strips following instructions in pattern.  Subcut (8) A1 pieces from WOF.

A2 - Cut (15) WOF strips following instructions in pattern.

B1 - Cut (1) WOF strip following instructions in pattern. Subcut (32) B1 pieces from the WOF

B2 - Cut (20) WOF strips following instructions in pattern.

Block Assembly:

Steps 1-11: Follow the instructions in the pattern. Repeat these steps until you have 8 full blocks as shown in image 10.

Step 12: Cut 2 blocks diagonally as shown in image 11.

Step 13: Cut 2 blocks diagonally as shown in image 12.

Step 14: This step is NOT needed for the baby size.  Please do NOTHING for step 14.

Quilt Top Assembly Instructions:

Lay out blocks as show below. Then follow the assembly instructions on page 5 to finish the quilt top!

Yay!  You are now done!
